As the Chief Marketing Officer for the Americas Region, Jackie Nickel leads Amway’s marketing efforts in North and South America. In this role, she directs the region’s brand and product portfolio, communications, and experiences. Prior to that, as vice president of Global Brand Management, Nickel directed the branding and innovation efforts for Amway’s global Nutrition, Beauty and Home brands.
Nickel joined Amway in 2008 as vice president of Wellness, leading the company’s Nutrilite™ brand globally. She previously was regional director at Abbott Laboratories’ Nutrition Division in the United Kingdom, where she was responsible for managing Abbott’s $180-million nutrition business in the U.K., Ireland, France, Benelux, the Nordics and Switzerland. Nickel also served as division vice president of Integrated Marketing at Abbott’s Ross Products Division in Columbus, Ohio.
Nickel’s marketing background includes vice president of marketing in 2002-2004 at the Suntory Water Group, Inc. of Atlanta. From 1995 to 2002, she held numerous brand and innovation leadership positions for the Coca-Cola Company in Atlanta. Highlights there include leading the national marketing efforts for the two-billion case Coca-Cola Classic Bottle/Can and Fountain businesses in the U.S., and increasing volume for caffeine-free Coca-Cola Classic.
Nickel began her career in 1984 as a marketing manager for Rosco Laboratories, Inc. in Port Chester, N.Y., where she also held product and plant management positions.
Nickel earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Union College in Schenectady, NY. She received a master’s degree in management from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill. She currently serves as vice president of the Board for Early Learning Neighborhood Collaborative, a non-profit in Grand Rapids, MI.
